We breed American Bulldogs. We value in our dogs the loyalty, faithfulness, willingness to please, personality, and characteristics associated.
This is Daisy! She was bought as a gift for a 1 year old that stole french fries from her mouth! She produced a beautiful litter of twelve.
American Bulldogs were brought back from near extinction after WWII. They are considered to be a rare working breed and not currently recognized by the AKC. They can be registered with the CKC, UKC, and ABA. Thought of as gentle giants, this "bully breed" is grouped and associated with American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Bull Terriers, and Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Of the "bully breeds", the American Bulldog, is considered least likely to have aggressive behaviors towards other dogs with proper socialization and handling. Additionally, what we value most about the American Bulldog, contrary to common misperception, they have virtually no people aggression. In fact quite the opposite is true. The reason this is important to us is the fact that we raise these dogs with our children, family, guests, and neighbors. They must be properly socialized and have a stable temperament. We have found some very interesting reading material aquired from our library, "The Working American Bulldog" by Dave Putnam. This is a very informative book and suggested reading material for new owners.
